Preston Miller (Integrity Auto Service): Hey, guys! I just want to talk to you about the importance of changing the oil in your car or truck. The scenario we’ve got here is a truck that’s a beautiful Ford King Ranch we sold to a customer nine months ago, and the customer has put 11,000 miles on it. He brought it into us because the motor’s making noise, and, come to find out, he’s never changed the oil, in 11,000 miles. You know, go ahead and start it up, Denny, I’ll show you what it sounds like.

That is a catastrophic engine failure. That is metal on metal inside the motor; stuff that’s not supposed to touch each other is touching each other. Something has come apart inside this engine. And the only way to fix it is replace it.

$15 Oil Changes

Preston: Here at Integrity, we offer $15 oil changes for the life of the loan. So as long as you’re paying on your car, come down and get a good $15 synthetic oil change. That guy didn’t do that on this truck, and, unfortunately, now he’s stuck with a $5,500 repair bill to fix it. Worse case scenario happened.

Denny (Integrity Auto Service): You know, we’ve been doing this a long time; I’ve been in the wrenching business for quite a long time — I’m going to say 35+ years, maybe 40. To make an investment like this, you as a consumer, is a really big deal. To have the opportunity to sit there and do an oil change and maintain the vehicle is probably your number one priority. We offer that $15 oil change every 3,000-5,000 miles. Anywhere else you go, you’re looking at $40, $60, $80 to spend. You can’t pass up what we’re offering here. Basically, it helps us to have a focus on your car, see what’s up, let you guys know what’s happening with the car.

Preston: You know, don’t be a dumbass. It’s only fifteen bucks every 3,000 miles. It could save you four, five, six thousand dollars in the long run. Keep your car on the road, and not in the shop like this.

We don’t want your car to end up like this. We want to keep you on the road. Be smart. You spend a lot of money on a car — you want to keep it running.
