Take a test drive with Dontay and Thomas in this black 2011 Ford F-150.

Transcript

Dontay Pompey (Sales Manager): You’ve got to climb up in this baby!

Thomas (Sales Associate): Oh, yeah! A lifted truck like this? No doubt!

Dontay: Now this one, Thomas, I had to bring you out. This is the 2011 Ford F-150.

Thomas: I’m happy you did. It’s a wonderful truck. I love the F-150.

Dontay: And it’s a Super Cab, too, so it’s got the room in the back — it’s got plenty of room in the back, actually — and, I don’t know if you saw the side, but it has the chrome accents.

Thomas: It’s wonderful. It really contrasts with that black that’s on it.

Dontay: That lift is crazy, though. Everything is so high. I’m glad — I’m short.

Thomas: Those factory side rails — they sure help. That’s for sure!

Dontay: Preston did awesome. It’s 4X4 — this is an XTR so it’s a 4X4. 5.0L V8 so it’s got the power, got the tow hitch.

Thomas: I saw that. It’s got the whole tow package on it.

Dontay: Yeah, you know that’s pretty awesome. And 4X4 because, in Oklahoma, you know how that goes.

Thomas: You’ve got to have one out here, especially when you’re out there doing what you need to do, either on your land, or you go out hunting. Anything like that, you’ve got to have that 4X4.

Dontay: They love them out here. That’s why Preston rolls us up. If you notice, all of our truck inventory, the majority are all 4X4s because that’s what people love.

Thomas: If you’re going to sell trucks in Oklahoma, you’ve got to have 4X4s. If you don’t have it, then you’re lacking there.

Dontay: Exactly. Even with the lift and the big tires, it’s a smooth ride. I mean, look at how smooth this is.

Thomas: Wonderful. I got to tell you, the thing I love about the F-150 more than anything else — Ford has really outdone itself with the F-150 — and they do everything they can to make sure this is one of the most reliable trucks possible.

Dontay: Yeah, they know their trucks. That’s for sure. You can’t question that at all. But I definitely love, like I said, it’s a nice vehicle so you get a nice, cool, comfortable ride.

Fully Loaded

Dontay: You have your features on the inside, as well. Let’s not miss that. You have your phone-sync here. You have your auxiliary and you have your USB, hands-free controls.

Thomas: Keep everything charged easily. You’ve got your sync system so you’re able to talk on the phone — you’ve got that business call, you’ve got that relative that’s giving you a call out there or something like that — you don’t have to fumble with the phone. Remember you used to have to do that? Oh my gosh, it was the hardest thing!

Dontay: And you’ve got to worry about the other drivers, so no matter how good you think you are with the phone, you’ve still got to drive with everybody else. I love the hands-free portion of it. That’s awesome. That’s a good feature to have. It’s a lot safer drive. But other than that, like I said, it’s 4X4, so that’ll get you around. That lift kit is awesome.

Thomas: You see those BFGoodrich tires. All those offroad, beautiful, aggressive tires. And those fender flares that go along with it.

Dontay: I love those. Now, I love those, too. That’s a good thing on this truck. That gets a little style. And then the chrome accents above the windows and along small spots, it makes it pop!

Thomas: When you see this truck, oh my gosh. You’re like, “I got to have that truck in my driveway.” If I’m going to have a truck, it’s not looking good, it’s not looking like my vehicle? You’re going to be disappointed. With this one, it’s got that look and it’s got those flakes in the paint job. Did you see that?

Dontay: That’s the metallic look. Oh, yeah! That’s what makes it pop, especially when the sun’s on it. Oh, yeah. It’s a nice ride.

Dontay: We don’t go off credit at our lot at all. So you’ve got to think that someone that’s working hard and feel they deserve something that’s worth the money, that the truck’s going to work as hard as they do, they need to come down here. I like that we have these vehicles and vehicles like this in stock for our customers, and we don’t go off credit, to the point where as long as you’ve got income…

Thomas: As long as you’ve got income, we can get you into a vehicle, no problem at all. And, on top of that, if you’re having issues with your credit, we report to all three credit bureaus so you’ll have that opportunity to build your credit.

Dontay: That’s a big help. And building the credit, I know that people always ask us about that. “You mean, what?! You mean you’re going to help them build their credit, so it’s going to get better and better, and eventually they’re going to go to a traditional financing sort of situation and they’re not going to need you anymore. So,… isn’t that hurting your business?”

Thomas: No, that helps out so much. See, here’s the thing that’s wonderful about that system: when you have that kind of thing and you’re building and you’re helping people in that way, then they’re going to go tell their friends, “Hey, you’ve got issues with your credit? They’ll get you approved and get you to the point where you’re able to get that point where you’re able to get that vehicle that you may be dreaming of that you thought was out of reach.”

Dontay: Yes! Exactly! And that’s the part where people just don’t understand, don’t see past that. But, as a company, our company actually sees it. I love it. It makes it so much easier for us. We actually really do it, instead of just saying we do it. So that makes it feel better as a sales person, for sure, letting the consumers know that, “Hey, offer this. We do report. And then it shows.”

Thomas: When you’re selling a product and working for a company and they’re doing that, it gives you pride in doing it. And knowing that you’re going to be out there helping people that need that assistance.

Easy Financing

Dontay: Exactly. And getting approved with us isn’t hard at all. If you’ve got that income coming in, like Thomas was saying, you might as well put in an application, because we’re looking to get you approved. We’re going to find the price point that you are approved for. And we’re going to go from there. We’re going to find a vehicle for you.
