Transcript

Jeremy Wilhite (Sales Manager): Let’s climb up in this one, Preston!

Preston Miller (Integrity Auto Service General Manager): Man, when you’re a short guy, you’ve really got to climb up in this thing. What’s up, everybody? Happy Test Drive Tuesday!

Jeremy: Hey, guys!

Preston: What a truck, what a truck. This is a big one. All right, Jeremy and I are driving this gorgeous 2014 RAM 2500 with a 6.7L Cummins diesel engine. It’s four-wheel-drive, SLT. It’s got the big crew cab so you can fit the whole crew back there if you need to.

Jeremy: It’s got the backup cam there.

Preston: Backup camera with a big touchscreen, and this touchscreen has got all kinds of cool stuff loaded in there. Not only does it have the backup camera, you’ve got your heated seats and heated steering wheel.

Jeremy: Nice, nice.

Preston: It’s got satellite radio, all kinds of cool stuff in there. And you can run pretty much all of your air conditioning through the touchscreen. It’s pretty neat. This truck is an SLT 4WD, so here’s your 4WD switch here. You’ve got factory trailer brakes on this one. Heated seat and steering wheel switches down here. It’s a gorgeous truck. It’s got an Alpine stereo, so it’s got those nicer speakers that add bass.

Jeremy: People like the stereo. Oh, got a slider right there.

Preston: Power slider, the windows are already tinted with a visor, so you don’t have to worry about doing that.

Jeremy: Who would think — I mean, here we are at the first of the year and it’s 80 degrees outside. You can use that power slider. Preston, man, this is an awesome truck, brother. I noticed, too, it’s got those nice 35″ tires on it.

Preston: Yeah, it’s got aftermarket tires and wheels on this one, so you’ve got a set of Hostile twenties with some aftermarket thirty-fives on it. It just makes the truck stand apart from all the other ones on the road. It doesn’t look like a work truck; it looks a little special.

Jeremy: It definitely is. I didn’t see a hitch in the bed or anything, so I don’t think it’s been used hard for work.

Preston: Exactly. So, a lot of these 3/4-ton trucks — especially diesels — you’re going to find out there used or secondhand were used for work. That’s the reason people buy these more expensive trucks is to make money with them. A lot of these trucks have spent their lives pulling around trailers and campers and horse trailers and big, heavy stuff. This one: no gooseneck hitch, no fifth-wheel camper hitch. You can know that it hasn’t pulled anything too big. The biggest trailer it could’ve pulled is a bumper pull. With this big 6.7L Cummins, it’s got more than enough power to do anything you need to do with a bumper-pulled trailer, most likely.

Jeremy: Most definitely. The interior’s in great shaped, so it’s definitely been well-maintained.

Preston: It’s got just 127,000 miles, and if you guys know diesels, you know that’s just a drop in the bucket.

Jeremy: That’s just starting to get broken in where she’s running at normal capacity.

Preston: We just got it out of the shop, we reconditioned everything we could find on it. It’s got a fresh oil change; we make sure that if it needed an alignment, it got an alignment; if it needed a sensor, it got a sensor. If you come down and ask for the service records, we’ll show them to you. Everything we do we take pride in. It’s a great truck and we’ve got it reconditioned and it’s ready to go to work and make you money.
